This Free Music Friday is a big one!

After their decision to leave Virgin Records/EMI Group, AM Taxi did a cover of the Sex Pistols’ “EMI,” which you can download for free here. Check out the video they threw together with Nathan Cox (the director of the “Fed Up” music video):

Pop rock artist Ryan Powers has a free download of his song “Spastic Fantastic” on his website.

Come see him at Beat Kitchen next Saturday, April 16th, joined by a full band (everyone’s friends in Treaty of Paris), as well as openers Model Stranger and Mason’s Case. - Event Page

Speaking of Model Stranger, they also have free music for you! Their album Dreams and Bones is currently “pay what you want” on their Bandcamp page, but you can get it for free by putting “$0” in the amount box. 

And speaking of Mason’s Case (yes, we went there again), you can download four songs from them at their Purevolume page.

Devon Kay & the Solutions released their EP Songs to Sing With last year. They recently re-released it, along with various demos and live recordings. A total of 19 tracks. You can’t lose. Get Songs To Sing With 1.5 here.

Last but not least, some new songs from Milwaukee natives The Siege Perilous. Grab their two new releases ”Stay Awake” & “Hush” here. If you’re in the Milwaukee area, catch them at UW-Milwaukee Union Ballroom on Thursday, April 21st. It’s a free show in support of Earth Day.

LA’s Now the Rabbit Has the Gun is giving away their new self-titled EP. You guys remember Cavashawn, right? Well this is bassist Ben Kubicki’s new band. Sam caught them at SXSW a few weeks back. You can check out pictures from that show here. 

Speaking of Cavashawn, Drummer Jesse Feister and his band, newly signed to Island/Def Jam records, South Jordan, invite you to get naked…or at least that’s what their new single implies. Download it here.

The Violet Eyes have only been around for a few months, but these guys have been getting some buzz around town. Download two free songs from them here and be sure to catch them at the Fireship’s final show at Metro on May 7th.
